A welcome from the Acting Director of School, Professor Ilse Truter

Our School of Clinical Care and Medicinal Sciences has the vision to educate critically thinking health science graduates in a range of clinical professions, with the ultimate aim of promoting and improving the health of the population of South Africa, Africa and beyond. We achieve this through education, research, service to society, and community involvement. Our training programmes are underpinned by research of the highest quality. Our training is supported by quality assurance systems through university and statutory council requirements, as well as academic administration structures and processes. Our School is housed on four of our university’s seven campuses, surrounding and supported by our clinical training platform in the Nelson Mandela Metropole, as well as the wider Eastern Cape and other provinces. We are in the business of knowledge creation and sharing, for a sustainable future.
