This workshop facilitated by LTCollab, Anne Mart was an engaging informative session, interrogating the use of pre and co-requisites within our curriculum. Distinction was made between when pre-requisites are essential and when co-requisites are needed in cases where module must be taken concurrently with another module. To explain these elements knowledge construction was explained, highlighting horizontal and hierarchical knowledge structures. Furthermore, the purposes and challenges of pre- and co-requisites were discussed and the institutional processes that needs to be adhered to when considering changes in a programme.
