DECOLONISING OUR LEARNING AND TEACHING SPACES: CONVERSATIONS ABOUT LEARNING AND TEACHING INNOVATIONS AND BUILDING OUR LOCAL FOOTPRINT INTO OUR CURICULUMS
The Africanization - Decolonization Indaba held on 7-8th of March 2024 at NMU stimulated the thinking around this conversation series. Academics nvolved in research around Africanization and Decolonization from the Faculty of Health Sciences shared the stage and shared their work with the audience. Some of the Learning and Teaching questions emanating from this discussion guides the conversations as we see here between students and academics.
In this series we have students engaging with academic staff members around how they see their research play a role in their departmental curriculums. We also have students engaging with lecturers about pedagogical innovations in the classroom, and the impact this has on their learning and teaching journey.
The series will be updated as more conversations are recorded and uploaded. It is also dynamic as conversations will create new questions and thus new pathways to explore.
