The faculty of Health Sciences Learning and Teaching philosophy aligns with the Institutional Strategic Focus Area 1 of Vision 2030 Framework and how it cascades down to the institutional Learning and Teaching vision. The 11 academic departments then set out to develop exceptional fit-for-purpose health, social and related professionals.

Emthonjeni Student Wellness consists of a team of professionally trained psychologists, counsellors and intern psychologists who are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. Our services are confidential and free to Nelson Mandela University students and are available on all campuses.
