Biography:
Ms Zibuyisile Methula is a Laboratory Technician at Nelson Mandela University (NMU), DSI-Mandela Nanomedicine Platform. She holds a Btech in Chemistry and a National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry from Vaal University of Technology. Her research project at the university focused on the synthesis of Biochar ZnO-Nanocomposite for water purification.
Additionally, she worked as a Nanomedicine Ambassador at Nabio Consulting, participating in a Youth Development Program by the Department of Science and Innovation (DSI) in collaboration with the South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA). In this role, she specialized in scientific communication activities and promoting the use of indigenous languages to communicate science. Zibuyisile has attended and participated in various nanomedicine webinars, such as the 10alamanos9 Festival hosted by the University of Barcelona and the Swiss NanoConvention 2021. Notably, she co-orchestrated the first Nanomedicine Youth Seminar (NANO4YOUTH 2021).
