His MSc (Med) (Cum Laude) in pharmaceutics was completed at the University of the Witwatersrand focusing on designing an implantable biosensor for cholesterol detection and drug release. His undergraduate was also completed at the University of the Witwatersrand majoring in Genetics & Developmental Biology and Microbiology and Biotechnology. Over the years he has acquired skills in cell biology, bioinformatics, nanotechnology, polymer science, organic and inorganic chemistry, and computational chemistry. Through multidisciplinary skills, research interests range from the synthesis of novel pharmaceutical compounds to and fabrication of nanomaterials for drug delivery and diagnostics.
