The Purpose of this course is to provide safe immunisation services of the highest standard according to Good Pharmacy Practice. This training would allow pharmacists to become vaccinators, vaccine advocates, promote the importance of immunisation in reducing vaccine-preventable diseases, help with dispelling myths associated with vaccines and improve public confidence in vaccines.
The course curriculum focuses on the basic understanding of the physics principles underpinning ultrasound, its relationship with the human anatomy and physiology, and its use and integration into clinical scenarios. The course aims not to just teach new skills in the use of ultrasound at the patient bedside, but also to recognise the clinical contexts within which PoCus can and should be used.
