Our faculty has a strong ethos of creating evidence informed health solutions that is appropriate to the health care needs of the community whom we serve. As such, research is an important thread that is woven in our undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications and in all our learning, teaching and engagement activities. It is through this intentional emphasis research informed health practices, that our graduates are equipped with the relevant knowledge and skills in finding relevant solutions to health care challenges and advancing health care practices. Health Sciences has its research footprint in addressing local health needs while being relevant globally, as such it aligns with sustainability development goals. As a faculty we also recognise the holistic biopsychosocial nature of health and wellbeing, which is evident in our research that collaborates across other disciplines through initiatives that support interprofessional health research projects.
